"My experience in Broome was really great and I didn't want it to end. I just wanted to say thank you to you and the rest of the KRHA team for the support you guys offer which made settling into Broome and placement that bit easier."

"My time in Broome totally exceeded my expectations. The culture, the land and the people made it a truly transformative experience for me. Highlights for me include; sleeping on a deserted beach under the stars, sunsets at cable beach and broadening my understanding of Aboriginal culture. I can't speak highly enough of the wonderful KRHA (Majarlin) Team. They made my time in Broome that much more special as they truly care about a holistic placement experience for every student. I highly recommend this placement for anyone who wants a challenge, wants to meet some amazing people or seeking a unique placement experience."

"I found the store and lore of Indigenous skin types as told by Neville during our cultural orientation to be one the the most interesting concepts I learnt during my time in Broome. He described the relationship and bond shared between indigenous people of the same skin group and how this bond supports the connection between all though indigenous communities across Australia.'

"I was surprised most by some of the health and living condition of some of the residents of Broome. I did a number of home visits during my placement and I found it eye opening to see the health and home situations of both indigenous and non-indigenous residents, and how vulnerable they can be at home. Which further highlighted to me the importance of providing effective and sustainable healthcare to reduce the impact of disability and disease on the residents and the community."

"I found the community and social aspects shared with supervisors and fellow students to be a really rewarding and supportive aspect of the placement, which provided many great memories over the 5 weeks in Broome. Thanks again for having me."

"I could not have imagined a better placement experience than the 8 weeks spent here in Broome through KRHA. Despite being far away from home and working in a challenging rural context, I felt extremely well supported and taken care of by my supervisors and staff here. KRHA undoubtedly over delivered with their genuine welcome to this country - from the immersive cultural tour to catered student debriefs, to frequent check-ins. Because of their efforts, the student community has thrived on placement and also embraced opportunities for cultural emersion and to connect with Broome locals."
