  • Entry requirements

    A completed Bachelor's degree from a recognised university in Arts, Science, Education or Business.

  • Learning outcomes

    Upon successful completion of the Graduate Certificate in Mathematics graduates will be able to:

    1. Solve complex problems in the mathematical areas of Algebra, Geometry, Statistics and Calculus
    2. Demonstrate critical thinking skills, including formulating and modelling practical and abstract problems in mathematical terms
    3. Apply mathematical principles, concepts, techniques, and technology to solve practical and abstract problems
    4. Demonstrate communication skills to transfer an understanding of theoretical concepts
    5. Articulate the importance of life-long learning, professional development, and self-directed learning.
  • Career opportunities

    The Graduate Certificate in Mathematics is designed for experienced educators. It will prepare you to teach mathematics in Catholic primary and secondary schools, Government departments, including the Department of Education. Other opportunities include management and business, non-government organisations (NGOs), community-based organisations, and training & professional development.

    A domestic fee-paying place is a place at university where the student is responsible for the full cost the program.

    Eligible domestic fee-paying students may apply for the FEE-HELP loan scheme which assists eligible fee-paying students with the payment of all, or part, of their tuition fees, not including additional study costs such as accommodation or textbooks. Your FEE-HELP debt will be indexed each year in line with the Consumer Price Index.
