  • Work integrated learning

A special feature of Notre Dame’s Nursing degree is the availability of substantial clinical experience. The Bachelor of Nursing program allows students to develop their skills in an intensive workplace environment. Students log more than 1,000 hours of practicum experience during the course of their degree. Placements take place in public and private hospitals, medical centres, community health centres and voluntary service agencies. As a result, Notre Dame Nursing graduates are highly regarded for their knowledge, critical thinking and clinical competence skills.

  • Facilities

The School of Nursing & Midwifery, located in the beautiful West Kimberley town of Broome in far northwestern WA, offers a wide range of facilities, including a state-of-the-art nursing and midwifery laboratory and digital classrooms. Other campus facilities include our campus library and on-site accommodation, which you may choose to use when attending skills blocks.

  • Bachelor of Nursing (Enrolled Nurse Articulation Pathway)

Notre Dame recognises the skills and knowledge already gained by Enrolled Nurses (EN) in their previous studies and clinical practice in Australia. We offer a pathway for Enrolled Nurses to gain advanced standing for the Bachelor of Nursing and complete the degree in a reduced timeframe.

The EN articulation pathway is a streamlined option that allows you to begin the Bachelor of Nursing in second year, completing the qualification in two years of full-time study. You can also take advantage of flexible study options so you can continue to work while studying.

You’ll benefit from a dedicated orientation for Enrolled Nurses (EN Primer Week), which will prepare you for university study. Upon graduation, you’ll be eligible to apply to become a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
