Scholarship Description:
The purpose of this Scholarship is to assist School leavers and career changers who enrol in initial teacher education (ITE) programs commencing from 2024, who may be eligible for up to $40,000 from the Australian Government. The Scholarship aims to attract more high quality candidates into teaching by supporting new undergraduate and postgraduate ITE students to meet the costs of their study, in exchange for teaching in government schools or government-run early learning settings for a time equivalent to the length of their ITE program. Up to 1,000 scholarships per year will be offered over five years, commencing in 2024.

Scholarship Description:
AVCAT scholarships include Long Tan Bursaries and sponsored scholarships. Sponsored scholarships are for the children and grandchildren of ex-serving veterans. Long Tan Bursaries are for the children and grandchildren of Vietnam Veterans and are available in each state and territory. The Long Tan Bursary is funded by the Australian Government Department of Veterans Affairs. AVCAT sponsored scholarships are funded by ex-service organisations and private donors.These scholarships are for children and grandchildren of ex-serving veterans. All bursaries and sponsored scholarships are for tertiary education and are $4000-$6000 per year, for up to three years.

Scholarship Description:
The Roberta Sykes Indigenous Education Foundation provides supplementary financial assistance to Indigenous Postgraduate students who wish to undertake studies at any recognised overseas university. The scholarship is offered for one year, but recipients may reapply for a subsequent year of the same program of study. The value of the Scholarship is up to a maximum of AUD $75,000. Roberta Sykes Scholarships are jointly funded by the Australian Government (National Indigenous Australians Agency), the British High Commission (Chevening), Cambridge Australia Scholarships Ltd, Cambridge Commonwealth Trust, and the University of Cambridge.

In 2009, with the assistance of the University of Oxford, the Charlie Perkins Trust established the annual Charlie Perkins Scholarships to support two talented Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Australians each to undertake postgraduate study at the University of Oxford from 2010. In 2011, with support from the Cambridge Commonwealth, European and International Trust, the Scholarships also became available for study at the University of Cambridge. These postgraduate Scholarships are directed towards Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Australians who have the potential to become leaders in their field of study and in their communities.

The NCP Scholarship Program offers around 120 scholarships annually to a diverse cohort of Australian undergraduates studying a variety of disciplines in up to 40 Indo-Pacific locations. Scholars undertake offshore programs including study, language training and an internship and/or mentorship for up to 19 months. The NCP Scholarship Program has an active alumni community, supporting past Scholars to share their experiences, promote the NCP and continue to develop knowledge of and professional links with the Indo-Pacific. Scholarship Value: tuition fees of up to $15,000 per semester, language training of up to $10,000, travel allowance of $3000, establishment allowance of $3000, a monthly stipend of $3000, mental health allowance of $3000.
